The December 2025 issue of Psyche, Sex, & Society is officially here. This is an invitation to return home to love in its most expansive, liberatory form.

In our eleventh issue, we disrupt inherited scripts of love and desire by expanding the language of love, decolonizing sex and intimacy, and reimagining romance as an embodied, erotic way of living.

Inside this issue, you’ll explore:

What it truly means to romanticize life—transforming the everyday into the erotic and living love as a sacred, embodied practice.
How decolonizing the five sex languages expands intimacy beyond Western worldviews, acknowledging the sociocultural and political realities through which BIPOC people live, love, and cultivate intimacy beyond oppression.
Why reclaiming love beyond empire is an act of healing, liberation, and fulfillment.
How pleasure, devotion, and intentional presence become radical acts in a world that profits from disconnection and the illusion of separation.
